Killer Kid (Short Story)

Julian hadn’t been swimming for what felt like a million years, but today was a special day in the fact that it is Toby’s birthday. Toby is Julian’s best friends and they do everything together, so it was to no-one's surprise that he had invited Julian to spend time with him on his birthday. After changing into their matching swim shorts, the boys sprinted to the water's edge, counted to three and cannonballed in together. The pool was deeper than Julian had remembered, so deep that he could touch the bottom even if he jumped as hard as he could. They both stood on the end preparing for their diving contest when Toby spotted a blonde girl staring at them, it was Sophie, Julian’s younger sister. “Can I join?” Sophie asked in her high pitched whine. Toby shrugged, “I guess, do you mind Julian?” he questioned glancing up at his friend, Julian shrugged in response. Sophie stood and watched as the boys both dived into the cool water, their splashes making her hair stick to h...

Murder Monster (Short Story)

It was an ordinary dull Tuesday morning, just as dull as the day previous. Maria strolled down the water-stricken pavement to the rustling gates at the entrance of Fiona Wood Primary School. Her footsteps where the only sound, no screams exploding from fresh lungs or the patter of tiny feet, just her footsteps and... another pair of footsteps; these much lighter than her own. Frank smiled at her devilishly, "Mummy and Daddy are at home, Miss Johnson" he spoke happily, whilst his eyes sparkled. Maria frowned, Frank was never happy, never smiling, so what changed in the last twenty-four hours. "How did you get he...

Nature vs Humanity (Poem)

I watch nature through the protection of the double-pane window, Its beauty too precious to be touched by mankind. I lock myself away, not only to protect such beauty, but also myself. I feel the segregation placed upon me. Our world is not beautiful. It has been tainted with electronics, Our eyes glued to their glowing screens. Our lives viewed through its HD camera. This window isn't here by accident, it holds a purpose. It keeps the natural beauty out of humanities harsh hands. It was not only placed for keeping such beauty out, but for keeping these violent beings in their artificial environment. What happened to our lives?

Weakness (Poem)

Pain dripping from my fingertips, coating the floor. Pain. Fear. Tears. All of which convey weakness, or so I'm told. My brain filling. Becoming numb. Vision beginning to fog, then nothing. I feel nothing. Tears are for the weak, fear doesn't exist. Only the numbness can save you now.
